This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the sheriff's warrant unit or the issuing court directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
For a Madison County case, contact the office that keeps the record. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division is at 515 South Liberty Street in Jackson and answers at 731-423-6000 or 731-423-6003. The division can address service and warrant-status questions, but this reference cannot search its system or speak for the Sheriff.
- Whether a warrant exists: contact the sheriff's warrant unit, the office that serves warrants and can confirm an outstanding one by name and date of birth
- A bench warrant for a missed court date: contact the court that set the case. Madison County General Sessions and Circuit Court matters have separate Clerk records; a Jackson City Court case belongs with that court.
- Resolving or clearing a warrant: talk to a licensed Tennessee attorney and the issuing court about a recall, a surrender, or posting bond
- An arrest warrant tied to a charge: the issuing court sets the charge and bond; the sheriff's warrant unit serves it
For General Sessions criminal or traffic files, call the Clerk at 731-423-6128; the public counter is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Circuit Court records go through the Circuit Court Clerk at 731-423-6035, Suite 200 at the courthouse. Jackson City Court is a separate route at 391 South Royal Street; its Clerk can be reached at 731-425-8661.
